» How can I best prepare for my office visit?

If you are a new patient to our office, you will be asked to provide us with your demographic and health history. These forms will be mailed to you prior to your scheduled visit, however, you may wish to print the forms from this website, complete them and bring them with you the day of your appointment. Also, please be sure to bring all current medications or a list of medications with you. If you have an HMO insurance, you will need to obtain the necessary referral from your family physician prior to your appointment.

» Do I need an authorization/referral?

All patients who are members of a health plan requiring prior authorization/referral are responsible for obtaining the authorization prior to their appointment. If you have further questions, please call Member Services of your health plan, or you may contact our billing department at (386) 788-1242.

» What happens if I develop nausea or vomiting while taking the laxative preparation?

If you develop nausea or vomiting while taking the laxative preparation, stop the preparation process for an hour. Then, try to pick up where you left off. If you are unable to complete the process, let our staff know. Your test may need to be rescheduled if you are unable to complete the preparation. During the day call our office. After hours, one of our physicians are available to help. If you develop severe abdominal pain during the preparation, stop and call our office.

» Do I have to drink all of the laxative preparation solution?

Yes. To obtain an accurate and optimal examination of your digestive tract the instructions to clean your digestive tract should be followed.

» How do I receive results from my procedure/test?

The results of your procedure are immediate. After the procedure, your physician will review the results with you. With your approval, if you received Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) during the procedure, we would like a family member present to act as a second pair of ears when the physician reviews the findings and recommendations with you.

If a biopsy was obtained, the results will be available to you 7-10 days after the procedure. You should receive a call from one of our nurses with your results, however, if you do not, please contact our office.

Other tests or lab work will also be available to you usually within 5-7 days after the test or lab work has been performed.

» Why did I get more than one bill for the procedure I had?

The patient will receive several separate bills for a procedure. These bills include, but are not limited to: a facility fee, a physician fee, a pathology fee, and an anesthesia fee. Please call our billing department at (386) 788-1242 if you have questions regarding your bill.

» Why can’t I drive home?

After the administration of anesthesia sedation, you will not be able to safely drive your car. It is our policy that someone must accompany you home following a procedure.

» How can I get my prescriptions refilled?

We recommend that you contact your pharmacy to request a prescription refill. Your pharmacy will then contact our office to request additional refills for your prescription. Please allow up to 48 hours to process your request for a prescription refill.
